Aesthetic care

Aesthetic and cosmetic are two terms used to describe dental practices that promise a beautiful and healthy smile. While they are often used interchangeably, there are some major differences that set them apart.

Smile design

A smile design is a dental procedure which artistically creates straighter, whiter and beautiful natural looking smiles. Smile designs can do wonders to fully restore your dental health and appearance regardless of the original state of your existing teeth.

Whitening

Tooth whitening or tooth bleaching is the process of lightening the color of human teeth. Whitening is often desirable when teeth become yellowed over time for a number of reasons, and can be achieved by changing the intrinsic or extrinsic color of the tooth enamel.

Crown

A crown, or dental cap, is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. A crown may be needed when a large cavity threatens the health of a tooth. They are typically bonded to the tooth by dental cement.

Facet

Tooth wear facets are characterized as flat, round or sharply angled and polished surfaces on the occlusal or incisal areas of the teeth and may be the result of excessive attrition of one tooth against the other. Abrasion and erosion can also contribute to the excessive wear of the occlusal and incisal surfaces.

Prevention

Gum care

The purpose of a dental curettage is to remove bacteria and plaque, allowing the gums to reattach to a clean root surface. Also called gum curettage or dental surfacing, it consists of thoroughly cleaning the area between the gum and the tooth.

Proper care of your child's teeth and gums includes brushing and rinsing daily. It also includes having routine dental exams, and getting necessary treatments such as fluoride, sealants, extractions, fillings, or braces and other orthodontics.

Oral rehabilitation is the branch of dentistry focussed on diagnosing the patient's problem and creating a specific treatment plan to restore the aesthetics and functionality of his oral cavity. This approach is typically employed for patients who have suffered damage to teeth or mandibular tissue.
